Somatic Experiencing®

Somatic Experiencing works mentally and physically.  It is gentle, non-threatening and very effective in replacing old limitations with healthy shifts in awareness.  These new BodyMind connections free up restrictive patterns in thinking and functioning.  Relationships, coping skills, negative beliefs,  fear, anger, anxiety, depression and many other issues respond well to SE.
 
As a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, SEP, I use this BodyMind therapy for resolving the physical, emotional and spiritual leftovers of trauma that hinder our daily life, even if the trauma happened a years ago.  Pioneered by Peter Levine, Ph.D., author of Waking the Tiger and many other books, SE goes beneath the thinking mind to the deeper, sensory/feelings and reawakens our healthy, instinctive responses to threat, fear, loss, shock--the various contributors to trauma—making us no longer a victim.
